I Can't Believe it....Hudson and Oliver are 5

 It's hard for me to believe Hudson and Oliver are 5!  They turned 5 on January 13th and had their party a week later.  The week leading up to their party was a rough one, they were sick everyday that week, including the day of their party.  As the day went on they seemed to get better and better.  You can see from the above picture, poor Hudson isn't feeling too hot.  They did not want cake this year but instead Pavlova's.  One of their faourite desserts!!!  I also made white chocolate covered oreos and chocolate chip rolo cookies, which they loved!!!  Happy birthday boys!!! I cannot believe how fast the past 5 years have gone by, so glad you are part of our lives!!!


 Opening presents..... this year the present opening felt like the olympics, things move fast when you have 2- 5 year olds opening gifts at the same time.  Here is Oliver showing off his GI joe gift!!

 Oliver and Hudson have been asking for the Skylander game for their b-day.  I love the look on both their faces, so excited to receive this gift from big brother Jackson!!


Check out the cool snowboards and helmets from cousin Kris and Nicola - the said we needed to sign a waiver form - shhhhh don't tell them they haven't given it to us yet!!!! :)

All in all a great b-day with tons of fun, nerf guns, light saber fights, board games, cool Star Wars toys, hoodies, and dart boards!!!

Hi All, Hope Everyone is keeping well and that life is treating everyone good. Once again its been awhile since we have written a little story. I cannot believe how fast time is going and that soon March will be over, its crazy to me. Life in the Bowering household is very good. Work is going well for John and myself. Jackson is doing GREAT. He still isn't walking but I am convinced he totally knows how to do it independently but I think he thinks..(man life is great, my mommy and daddy carry me around everywhere) He walks along the walls and furniture and climbs up and down the stairs but soon he will walking independently. Jackson is quite the talker he says ALOT of words, and they are very clear, his favourite words are bubble, cookies, mommy, dad, apple, ball, bull, puppy... that's just a few he can say more. he is also signing quite a bit. Jackson's Big Boy Room

Hi Everyone!!! Well I'm surprised I have another blog up so quickly. I guess I am just excited about Jackson's room. The last weekend in September we headed to Fargo with our friends and had a great time, hanging out and shopping. Then for Canadian Thanksgiving we headed to Minot to see my family which was nice b/c that will probably be the last time I see them before the babies arrive. We had alot of good fun in Minot, ate alot of good food and I enjoyed shopping with my sisters. Jackson is doing well, he has taken a couple of tumbles down the stairs and now looks at the basement stairs saying "boom boom" "stair fell". We think falling once at home and once at Aunt Valerie's will give him a greater appreciation of the stairs. Like I said at the start, we are so excited that Jackson's big boy room is done. He no longer sleeps in a crib and although it makes me smile to see him being such a big boy, I'm a little sad to see how fast he is gro

Happy Halloween

Hi Everyone, well I am taking advantage of the time change, we have been up since 6am (I know most of you will say, well really thats 7am) but 6am is 6am. The boys do not care about the time change. So as they are watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, I am updating the blog, finally!!!! Life again has been very busy for us and I don't think it is slowing down any time soon. Hudson and Oliver are now in there big boy beds - they look so little in those big beds. They are doing well with the transition and we still have more accessories to add to their room but after many hours of painting, the mural is finished!!!! I think it turned out awesome and am so glad we did it. Halloween is also finished and the kids got 4 huge bowls filled with candy, it was crazy - I never remembered getting this much candy as a kid!!!! They are set for a long time. John's b-day is coming up so we will go out most likely to a pizza place on his actual b-day and then we will have a family party later on. So
