The Adventures of Boyband CraZyTown

  Where has the time gone?  I can't believe you are 9.     Jackson's cake...loaded full of SUGAR!!!!   Outdoor rink fun at the party.. thanks Jonathan for being goalie!!! Christmas Concert!! Jackson entered a competition for the kids JETS reporter, he came in 13th out of 89 entries.  He was on the news and got tickets to the Jets Skills competition.  Way to go Bud, so proud of you...John made a green screen using material and edited his video.  Jackson came up with all the dialogue himself and John put in the back ground.

  Here are some random photos I thought I would add to the blog.  Here we are ready for a date night!   Now, this is a photo I would be in, so I had to post this b/c John jumping in to take a selfie with Taylor Swift is funny and out of character for him, so I had to make sure I had evidence that he did it!!   The boys LOVE rocks, they are so curious about them and exploring how they are made.  Here is Oliver taking a closer look at quartz with a mini magnifying glass.   Hudson digging for fools gold.   Pizza socks that we got John for his birthday!   Hudson LOVES to help in the kitchen, he always wants to know what I am up to and how he can help.  So I had him grate cheese, I hate grating cheese.  I love the smile on his face.   Well, Halloween has come and gone again this year.  We found ourselves more busy this year.  The whole family attended the Halloween Howl in Headlingly, that was a great time, we did lots of dancing. Jackson attended his first "friend" Halloween Party.   I also joined instagram this week, so i had to take a quick profile pick with these monkeys!! Oliver and Hudson :)     The annual caramel apples, white chocolate with caramel and cinnamon and sugar, then the other tray is caramel with either skor or reeses pieces the topped with melted rolos.  I felt the caramel was to hard/tough this year.  I feel I haven't perfected them yet, but they are tasty. This year for work, our team decided to be the Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles... it was SO MUCH FUN!!!   Our pumpkins, who is whose?   I am so far behind on blog posts, I promise by this weekend the pics from our summer trip will be up.  But for now enjoy these first day of school pics and the boys' dreams of what they want to be when they get older ;) Jackson of course, I hope one day I see you on TSN :)   Oliver, grandpa Herman would be so happy if you took over the farm!! Hudson said he wants to either run the big roller coasters or the ferris wheel :)

  We spent the past week at the cottage with our friends Craig and Jennifer from Seattle.  WE HAD A BLAST :)  Here is Craig playing the lego game with the boys, I wonder what Jackson is talking about.   We ate alot of great food this week.  Here are 2 gourmet pizzas we made.  The one on the left is potatoes, rosemary, red peppers, and prosciutto and the one on the right is fig jam, arugula, proscuitto SOOOOO GOOOOD :)     Making homemade corn tortillas, using the tortilla press for shrimp tacos :)   Jennifer and I - oh I wish these guys lived closer!   Getting ready for a double date - heading to Barely Brothers, Pizzeria Gusto, walking on Corydon and heading back for some board games :)   Babysitting my beautiful nieces.   Here we are all ready to celebrate Canada Day.  We had friends over for burgers at lunch time, then went to other friends for a dinner bbq and then out for fireworks.  It was a fabulous day!     The boys decided at our friends house that they needed to dress up, so of course I took pictures.  These are great for their wedding day!!  Here is Oliver and Jackson, and Hannah.  Before they dressed up they did their own Canada Day facepaint, it got pretty crazy!   Hudson was so happy about this, I can't say the same for John ;)   This past week the boys had their friend over.  Jackson wanted to let him use his Backstreet Boys notebook.  Really it was his Beatles notebook.  I thought I better start Boyband 101.  Here is Jackson with a John Lennon doll ;) And of course FIREWORKS. We were so close this year that debris was falling on us.  IT WAS AWESOME.  I can't even explain how great they were this year. It was terrific time.  

Hudson and Oliver played soccer this year.  This is their team the Dolphins.  What a fabulous group of kids, and the coaches were FANTASTIC.  Oliver and Hudson loved soccer this year.  WAY TO GO!!     Hudson and Oliver getting their certificates and trophies.  This was a HOT day - they did so well and are so proud of their achievement! A break at the canteen, pop, popcorn, hotdogs, cotton candy and chocolate bars.  YIKES lots of sugar bugs for these boys!!!     This past week we also had mini grad at the boys' daycare, here is Oliver :)  Too cute :)   And here is Hudson - love you buddy :) Getting there pictures after they performed 3 songs.  1st Grade, On My Way, and Let It Go :) Have fun in grade 1!!   We took a bike ride through the trails for Fort Whyte.  It was a lot of biking, but so much fun.  Here we are having a stop to check out the bisons.   At the Bison Lookout :)   Standing at the top of the treehouse.   Before we biked the final stretch, we stopped for a drink.  They did so well today, we biked 7 1/2 km.   Way to go Boys!   After biking we ran some errands then came home and put the sprinkler under the trampoline.  They loved it :) Enjoying some fun pirate coloring activities before we head to church :)
